August 5, 2013 is a day the members of The Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company will NEVER forget.

A fire in our station 1 caused devastation to our kitchen with smoke damage to the adjacent rooms. Like always we pulled together like the family we are it took 3 months to get the station back to usable condition. Banding together as a family is what we have always done and what we will continue to do.  We thank the residents of Egg Harbor Township for there support during this difficult time.

When super storm Sandy caused serious damage we jumped in to lend a hand. quickly overflowing our fire house with donations.  Feeling slightly over whelmed we received help from boy scouts and an ROTC squad.

While delivering our donations we filled several vehicles.  These included a dump truck stake body truck 2 box trucks and several trailers.  Filling Ventnor community center taking the overflow then to the Sandcastle Stadium where a few Atlantic City fire trucks arrived with firemen to lend a hand unloading the rest.

With our hectic lives sometimes we need to come together. We choose to use this time to have family night for our fire family.  We have dinner make popcorn and watch a family movie.  We always have a lot of fun and enjoy each others company.
